About the work in Transept:Traverse
‘SOUL IN PROGRESS/HOLY GROUND’
OIL WITH MIXED MEDIA ON CANVAS 60 x 60cm.
POA.
Look down into a painting representing the inner space and surface of the soul.
Inspired by the text inscribed near the pulpit in Chichester Cathedral, ‘The place thou standest is holy ground’ and by the life of Bishop George Bell, Helena has used the mobius loop to explore ideas of integrity, translucence, suffering and redemption.

Her work is an attempt to render visible the inner experience of life.
