Title of art work : The Elders.
Cost: Small frames £100 each, Large frames various.
This work is inspired by the history of Chichester, our past surrounds us and touches us in a subliminal way and we are sometimes not aware of its influence on our lives. Look around and you will see small sculpted faces on buildings in all sorts of nooks and crannies but most notably in and around the Cathedral.

CUPCAKE CRUNCH: Light at the end of the tunnel:
Porcelein and Acrylic, 45cm x 35cm, £450
The cupcake has become an iconic symbol, synonymous with decadence and extravagance and is traditionally highly decorative. The start simplicity of this piece reflects the way, in the wake of the current financial crisis, so many people have been forced to re-evaluate their financial priorities.

Artwork title: ‘One Day I’ll Fly Away’
This is a contemplative piece. The three parts can be interpreted either personally or as representing the Resurrection. The lower figure alludes to our earthly ties; our worries; our commitments. The central space alludes to death; emptiness; or resurrection. The top space, a mirror reflecting the sky, represents the celestial space; the divine; heaven; freedom.

The pages of an Encyclopaedia, published in 1964 and found dumped in a paper recycling centre, has been sewn together to make a lace curtain. This window wide web of information, trapped in a network of threads at the library window, compares to the fluidity of digital information available on the wide world web.

Tim Sandys-Renton is undertaking a series of 7 pinhole-camera self-portraits in THE VESTRY. Each sitting will take the form of a mini performance lasting 80 minutes. These works represent the ‘first drink of the day’, and the 7 images take place over a week. The photos are titled ‘After Gilbert & George’, two maverick artists, much of whose early work was about their love of alcohol and the pubs they frequented.
The bright sunlight being directed into the pinhole-camera is coming from the street, entering the dim interior from behind the drinker’s head. As the drinker looks around, drinks and talks, his head blurs. The bright sunlight seems to erode his head like it was a block of melting ice! The drinker’s head seems to be imploding.
