Fay Caddy was an Anaesthetic Nurse for 20yrs. She holds a BA Fine Art & Related Arts and is currently studying for her MA, also in Fine Art. Her work Global Exhibition (November 2004) was shown simultaneously in Arundel, Sydney, Moscow (Idaho, USA) & Vancouver. This was intended to illuminate the work of Marshall McLuhan, Art & Language & Ludwig Wittgenstein.
Fay Caddy’s current work reflects an exploration into the philosophy of Gilles Deleuze & Felix Guattari & Marshall McLuhan. The primary interest being that of language as an art form. There are influences from Art & Language, Carl Andre & Joseph Kosuth as well as Book Art, Graphic Design, cartoon especially the Japanese Manga. Also some exploration into James Joyce Finnegans Wake, Virginia Woolf The Waves & Lewis Carroll Alice in Wonderland. There is an overall feel of conceptual art &, to some extent, fluxus. It mostly takes the form of Book Art.
