My current interest is colour and the abstract nature of landscape. I sketch constantly on tour and use these images rather than photographs for subsequent work in oils, watercolour, pastels and mixtures of these.

As an artist /painter, my training began in 1966 in Australia under Stanislaus Rapotec. Later I studied in Brazil at academic and experimental schools, culminating with an honours degree at Winchester School of Art in 1990.

For 10 years I was unofficial artist in residence and teacher at 2 schools, painting children and teachers during music lessons and in concerts in Chichester cathedral, exhibiting annually in the Bishops palace.

Following a trip to the North Cape and Spitzbergen I began to paint exclusively landscape, glaciers in particular. I have had several solo exhibitions of these paintings, the first being at Haslemere Museum and the last in Bergen, Norway in 2005
