Expressions of interest invited from UK artists for exhibition programme.
PHOENIX GALLERY is part of a large visual arts organisation in Brighton that runs studios, educational activities and a non-commercial, contemporary art gallery. We are currently seeking artists with a strong and unique vision, who wish to contribute to the exhibitions programme.
The gallery’s unusual properties, location and setting within a studio building encourage artists to use the space in imaginative ways, focusing on materials, physicality, process and interaction.
There are currently two gallery opportunities posted: 1) An ambitious project to take place during the Brighton Festival period, April - June 2009; and 2) One-person and group exhibitions taking place from 2009 onwards.
Artists are initially asked to submit an expression of interest, and we will contact you if we wish to pursue your application further. Artists apply for funding with advice and support from Phoenix.
